Ntawv Tsuj Yig

This script was created by Tchuyi Vang who lived in St. Paul, MN while publishing this primer in 1997. He called this script the "Ntawv Neej Hmoob" (or Hmong Life Script). It was first started in Laos but not fully developed until he came to the United States from France.

To the right is the cover of his primer, and below are excerpts from it with RPA to help people know the sounds of his alphabets. This Ntawv Neej Hmoob is formulated with some influence of the Chinese language. The consonant "NPL" for example was taken from the Hmong word "nplooj," meaning leaf. It is based on consonants, vowels, and tones.

Thus far, this script has never been taken root in the Hmong community. It is not certain how many people, besides the author, can read and write this script.
